Jim Caldarella

Jim is an avid 30-year student of blackjack. Now retired, he was a systems-design consultant, project manager, and technology executive. He learned to objectively weigh risk and return as the head of Citibank’s trading and capital markets technology. He is a graduate of Northeastern University and did post-graduate work at Williams College.

Kate Simmons

Kate is a new blackjack player and an aspiring student of the game. Kate’s business career has been largely involved with communications as a content-creator and editor for major firms. She now lives in Germany where she writes, edits, and translates technical documents for the medical-device industry. Kate is a graduate of Simmons College.

Alex Kelly

Alex knows very little about blackjack, but she knows a lot about statistics and data analysis. Alex is a graduate of the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
